Live by the Spirit

In romans 8 vs 1 - 8, the Bible says "if you belong to Christ Jesus, you won't be purnished. The Holy Sprit will give you life that comes from Christ Jesus and will set you free from sin and death. The Law of Moses cannot do this, because our selfish desires make the Law weak. But God set you free when He sent His own Son to be like us sinners and to be a sacrifice for our sin. God used Christ's body to condemn sin.
He did this, so that we would do what the Law commands by obeying the Spirit instead of our own desires. People who are ruled by their desires think only of themselves. Everyone who is ruled by the Holy Spirit thinks about spiritual things. If our minds are ruled by our desires, we will die. But if our minds are ruled by the Spirit, we will have life and peace. Our desires fight against God, because they do not and cannot obey God’s laws. If we follow our desires, we cannot please God.”
If you are a Christian, you need to live by the Spirit of God. The Spirit of God is given to every child of God to guide and direct them in their lives. When you live by the Spirit of God, you are no longer bound to live according to the law, because the Holy Spirit has set you free from the law.
When you live by the Spirit of God, you do not fulfil your own desires, but you fulfil the desires of the Holy Spirit. When you live by the Spirit of God you live by Grace, everything that you do, you depend on the Holy Spirit to suggest to you. For you to hear when the Holy Spirit suggest, you must spend time with God by reading the Word and meditating on the Word. Even in my life as a Prophet of God, I depend entirely on the Holy Spirit. I can only say what He says and for me to do that, I need to be closely connected to Him.
You also need to act on what the Holy Spirit is suggesting to you in our daily walk with the Lord. For instance, when you go on fasting as a result of the suggestion by the Holy Spirit you are most likely to finish the fasting with no striving at all. But when you decide on your own, it might be a bit challenging and difficult for you to finish the course. Therefore, when the Holy Spirit suggests you do something, you need to do it because at the end of the day, there will be a solution.
Some of you are disobedient to the instructions of the Holy Spirit. This will result in a delay in your breakthrough or blessings. Therefore, I urge my children, learn to be sensitive to the voice of the Holy Spirit and fulfil whatever task He gives you. I want to encourage you to be obedient to the instruction of the Holy Spirit, and remain be closely connected with Him.
When the Holy Spirit suggest to you what to do, even though it is difficult for you – you need to sacrifice and obey the instruction. You must know that when the Holy Spirit suggest, there is a reward. However, there can also be a storm in whatever He is suggesting. But you must learn to focus on Him and hear His voice even in the midst of the storm.
Verse 6 says “People who are ruled by their desires think only of themselves. Everyone who is ruled by the Holy Spirit thinks about spiritual things”. If you live by the Holy Spirit, you will not be ruled by your own selfish and lustful desires, but your main focus would be on spiritual things.
When you are in Spirit, God often would bless you differently, in His own way which is not similar to how He blesses others. Just as Joseph moved from prosperity to poverty, and from freedom to being imprisoned, God would also bless you that way. When the Holy Spirit brings breakthrough into your life, it would be in a very unique way. The way which can only suit you.
However, the problem with us as Christians, we want to modify whatever breakthrough He is bringing to us. There are doors that are closed in your life, but can only be opened until you obey Him. It is important to know that the Holy Spirit wants to talk to all of you. He wants to guide your lives. The Holy Spirit wants the best for us.
The Holy Spirit is a Man of peace and of love. Romans 8: 35 says “Can anything separate us from the love of Christ? Can trouble, suffering, and hard times, or hunger and nakedness, or danger and death? The Holy Spirit is asking questions. He is saying when you walk in the Spirit and live by faith, nothing shall never destroy you.
You need to rely on the Holy Spirit if you want to see the abundance of blessings in your life. In as much as you need to rely on Him in every affairs of your life, do not grieve Him. Do not do something that He does not like or approve of. Ephesians 4: 30-31 says “Do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption” The Holy Spirit is grieved when you turn your life of righteousness to sin. In John 14:1 Jesus said to his disciples, “Don’t be worried! Have faith in God and have faith in me. There are many rooms in my Father’s house. I wouldn’t tell you this, unless it was true. I am going there to prepare a place for each of you”.
When you are a man of the Spirit, you need to live by faith. Whatever the troubles and challenges you’re facing, you need not worry. Rather have faith in God. Amidst your situation, you need to “walk by faith and not by sight” – 2 Corinthians 5:7. The man living in the Spirit has his own trials and tests. However, our tests would not be the same. Each one of us has his or her own problems.
Amos 3:7 says: “Whatever the Lord God plans to do, he tells his servants, the prophets”. The Holy Spirit is telling me to ask you to allow Him to work in your lives. As a prophet of God, depending on the Holy Spirit, I am also appealing to you: Live in the God’s Spirit. When you do that you will be close to God than ever before. You will not be subjected to the lustful desires of the world because your focus would be on spiritual things.
When the Holy Spirit gives you an instruction, do not wait. Fulfil the instruction quickly. When He instructs you to forgive, do it. I am telling you my children, when you start to live in the Spirit nothing will come wrong in your life.
When you are the man of the Spirit, you also need to be corrected in your human interactions. You must have a docile spirit which is able to be taught and to be corrected. If you are not prepared to be corrected, the Holy Spirit would also not correct you.
Roman 8: 13-14 says: My dear friends, we must not live to satisfy our desires. If you do, you will die. But you will live, if by the help of God’s Spirit you say “No” to your desires. Only those people who are led by God’s Spirit are his children. We must allow ourselves to be ruled by our own desires. The Bible says if we do we will die. We should rather satisfy the desires of the Holy Spirit rather than of ourselves. We should live on the help of the Holy Spirit.
The Bible further says in verse15 “God’s Spirit doesn’t make us slaves who are afraid of him. Instead, we become his children and call him our Father”. We should not be enslaved by our anger, resentment, unforgiveness and retribution. You should not be a person ruled by pride, gossip and anything which is contrary to the Spirit of God.
Live in the Spirit, that forms the basis of your faithful walk with the Lord.
May God bless His Word.
