Give yourself out of a situation
In Luke 6:38, Jesus is teaching us to give because the measure with which we give, it will be given back to us. Many want to receive but they don’t want to give. There is no way that you will receive when you don’t give, because the Word of God makes it clear that the measure with which you give is the same measure in which you will receive. And we know that God does nothing without His Word.
Many Christians are facing closed doors and their ways are blocked, but the Bible tells us that God is able to make a way where there is no way, God is able to open closed doors, God is able to pour out blessings beyond measure. This is why the Bible says “A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap”(Luke 6:38(b)).
This means when you find yourself in an impossible situation, when you find yourself in difficulties that you cannot overcome, you need to give. When you give, God will make those impossible things possible, He will bring blessings straight to your lap. When you give, you will enter into blessings that human beings thought you could not go into, you will possess things that you know you don’t even qualify for. When the human mind says no to you, mercy and grace will say yes. When mercy and grace says yes, no man can say no.
When you give in the house of God, you will have an over flow of blessings. Your blessings will be more than you can contain. It will be like when you go to the petrol station to fill up your car, they fill it up to the point that they shake it, the car will be so full that the pointer will remain on the F indicator for a long time. That is called over flow of petrol, now imagine the over flow of blessings, though you enjoy them, they do not decrease.
When you give in the house of God, God will shake away your poverty, He will shake away your lack. He will fill you up with His blessings and you will never ever run dry again. But you must just give and continue to give. Press on with your giving. Don’t get tired of giving. Understand that giving is a godly principle, it was not created by man for you, but it was created by God as a channel for you to be blessed.
But the way Christians speak about money, it’s like they forgot that God is the one who created everything including money. We are just managers of God’s creation. But you hear people saying “my money, my this my that”. They forget that when things are tough they run to God, when they want blessings they call on God and promise to be faithful, but when God says give, they start to complain.
You cannot say you love God when you are not a giver, you cannot say you praise God and worship Him when you don’t give. Because you cannot say you are a child of God but your finances are not part of God. Children of God, I want to encourage you to give beyond measure today, so that you can receive beyond measure.
When you give beyond measure, you will see the manifestation of ALL God’s promises that are in the Bible.
When you give beyond measure, you don’t look at your pocket, you give knowing that God will take care of your needs. When you are sure that God will take care of your needs, you allow him to be the CEO of your life, and when God is the CEO of your life, you will never go wrong.
