Give earnestly like Hannah prayed earnestly
In 1 Samuel 1:10 to 14, we read about the prayer of Hannah. The Bible tells us that Hannah was in deep anguish because she did not have a child and her adversary made fun of her. In her deep anguish, she prayed to the Lord and wept bitterly to a point that Eli the priest thought that she was drunk. She asked God for one son, and she vowed that when God gives her the son, she would dedicate him to the Lord.
I want us to learn from Hannah and be sure that when you cry to God and ask Him one thing that is in your heart, He will surely give it to you. We are in the 9th month of the year, which symbolises a time of giving birth. This means that all this year you were pregnant with your breakthrough, you are now ready to put to birth. It’s not going to be easy, but you have to push, you have to push that miracle out, you have push that breakthrough out. The Man of God, Senior Prophet Rodney, has already declared that it’s a new season, a season of new things, all you have to do is push.
When God answered Hannah and gave her a son, she named him Samuel, meaning “I asked him from the Lord”. You have an opportunity today to pray your own earnest prayer like Hannah, a prayer for your financial breakthrough. That kind of a prayer does not require words or tears, but requires a gift from your heart. Today if you will release a good gift to God, and say “ Lord, grant me breakthrough, it shall be done for you”. When you ask of God today, also make a covenant like Hannah did, and make sure that when God answers you, and gives you your miracle, you keep your covenant like Hannah.
Don’t be like those people that make covenants with the Lord when they need something, and when God answers, they forget their covenant. They cry to God and say “oh Lord, if you can just give me that business contract, then I will join the Prophet and build your house”. But when the contract come, they stop coming to church. I want to tell you that there is power in giving children of God. I want to tell you that the power of giving, is just as effective as an earnest prayer.
When you give, you provoke the Heavens to release your breakthrough, you provoke the Heavens to give you strength to push out your miracle and give birth. Do not allow this month to pass by without you giving birth. Give in such a way that those who are watching will think that you are drunk, meanwhile you know that you are giving to push out your miracle. Give in such a way that your gift will be recorded as an earnest prayer in Heaven.
Your earnest gift will also provoke us as servants of God to get out of our comfort zone and offer earnest prayers on your behalf. I will give you an example, when I left my job at the command of God, I was not expecting any salary. So I recently decided to start a business, and sell some items , but one of my sons saw me after church selling and he went to the Prophet and said “daddy, Prophet TB Joshua said our mother must not work, she must be by your side, why is she now selling? I will make sure that I create an employee profile for her in my company and pay her a salary every month”.
The 1st month I received my salary I thought well, it was my birthday gift. Now in September I saw the deposit again in my account, I realised that this son of mine is serious with paying me a monthly salary. And now whenever this son of mine faces challenges, it doesn’t matter what time of day or night, I will go down of my knees and offer an earnest prayer for him, why? Because he is a giver, his gift is earnest.
You must hear me well and understand me, giving is not only about money, you can also give an earnest gift with your hands. A gift that will cause me to rise up and pray when you are facing challenges. As a parent, I pray for all my children, every day, but there are those whose earnest gifts, cause me to rise up whether it’s time for prayer of not. When you give a gift of service, don’t just serve when it’s convenient for you, but serve faithfully and consistently to a point where I will mention your service to God in my prayer every day.
I used to think that my previous job was the best job that I ever had, and when I had to give it up, I just did that out of obedience, but now I realise that God gave me the best job which I never thought could be so good. And the rewards are immeasurable. Being a mother to all of you is a full time job, and in my mind I never realised what a blessing it will be, but God because He knows what is good for us, He commanded me to give what I thought was best, and He rewarded me with what is truly best.
Today as you give, give your best, and give earnestly, then you will see the power of God in your life, in your business, in your career, in your finances, in your marriage and in every arear of your life.
