Give with Honesty

The Bible tells us about the dishonest manager in Luke 16, from verse 10 to 15, the Bible teaches us to be honest with the little that we have, in order to be trusted with much. Everything we have has been entrusted to us by God, so we need to be honest and trust worthy in order for God to trust us with much more. We are just managers of God’s property.

God has blessed us so that we can be a blessing to others. God has given us so that we can be able to give. If you are not able to give with the little that you have, there is no way that you will give when you have more. When you do not give, you will be counted as a dishonest person. Look at what happened to the dishonest manager, he was dismissed.

The way that we manage what God has given to us, will determine how fast we are promoted. If you are dishonest with God’s property you will not be promoted. This is why people end up saying “my boss hates me, at work they hate me for nothing, they give others bonuses but I don’t get anything” it’s all because of dishonesty.

When you are honest and you give in accordance with what you have received, you will be blessed in every way. Because that is what God has promised all that give in His house. Paying your tithe is like paying your insurance premium, you can claim any time. But if you did not pay or you paid late or half, you will have no basis of claiming. Because your premiums will not be up to date.

God knows your heart and your situation. Don’t be like those people who don’t give in the house of God, because in time of reading the Word, they are busy counting their money, in time of meditating on the Word, they are thinking about their debts. But when you give to a big God, you will receive big things, you will receive peace of mind, you will not be tormented by your debts.

The things that seem important to us, like our bills, they are not important to God. They are the things that take away our attention from God. God wants you to focus on him only, not on the things of this world, one day, we will leave all the things of this world and have to account to our God. So today as you give, give in honesty, so that you can be trusted with more.
