Words of Encouragement

In Exodus chapter1 we read about how Pharaoh started oppressing the children of Israel all because they were blessed and numerous. The Bible tells us that he put slave masters over them to oppress them with forced labour. But the more the Israelites were oppressed, the more they multiplied. Pharaoh despised Israelites because they were blessed and numerous. Some of you today wonder why you have enemies arising everywhere, it’s because you are blessed, your enemies can see that the Lord has blessed you.

Because the Israelites kept multiplying even under oppression, Pharaoh ordered that every Hebrew boy must be killed and thrown into the river Nile at birth but every girl must live. When Moses was born, his mother hid him for 3 months to avoid him being killed. Later, Moses was left in a basket in the river Nile, where Pharaoh’s daughter found him and took him & raised him as her own child.

Moses, the man sent to deliver Israel from the hands of Pharaoh, was actually raised in Pharaoh’s house. When Pharaoh raised Moses, little did he know that he was raising his biggest enemy. He made the biggest mistake of his life by allowing Moses to live. But I want you to take a lesson from this child of God, the enemy that wants to kill you, will actually bless you. They will not know how come they blessed you, but they will bless you.

Pharaoh though that the yokes of slavery that he laid on the Israelites were too strong to brake, but little did he know that a member of his own house hold will brake those yokes. As a child of God, do not despise trails and troubles, because they teach you to pray. If the Israelites had not been oppressed, they would not have known how to pray. This is why God said to Moses “I have heard the cry of my people”.

When the enemy pushes you into pain, he is not aware that he is pushing you to the alter of God, he is not aware that you will cry the more to God, and God will hear your cry and come to your salvation. If only Pharaoh knew that when he was raising Moses, he was raising him to conquer him. Pharaoh never thought that Moses would stand and say “let the people of God go”. He thought Moses could not talk, but little did he know.

When the enemy challenges you, little does he know that through those challenges you will stand up against him one day. That destiny that you think is not possible, you will reach it, in the same way that the children of Israel reached Canaan, you will reach your destiny. You will surely stand against the enemy, and you will brake every yoke of bondage, in the Name of the Lord. Because the Name of the Lord is Mighty, Mighty to deliver you.

The point that I’m trying to make tonight, is that don’t despise your trials, but rather make way for the manifestation of God’s plan and purpose in your life. It’s not easy, but we will pray, and ask God to help us to align our plans to His plan, because He holds the Master plan. When you align your plan to God’s plan, the Word of God will overcome for you. When God’s plan for your life is unfolding, your enemy will not believe it, they will ask, “but How come?”

Pharaoh could not believe that Moses is challenging him, he could not believe that the boy he raised, who could not speak, or who was stammering could stand and say “thus says the Lord’. I’m here to tell you that in that situation, you are the Moses of your family. Let the Moses inside of you arise and take your entire family out of bondage. Your whole family is depending on you for their break through and salvation. Stand and speak the Word that will release your family, stand and say “thus says the Lord’.

It is not easy, because we are not living in a world of possibilities, but we live by faith in a God who makes things possible. Do not focus on your pain, but focus on the pain that is at the end. You can never get a promotion without pain. That is why Isaiah 59:19 says when the enemy comes like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord shall raise the standard against him. This standard will put the enemy to flight.

As we are going to pray this evening, have no doubt that the standard has been raised.

To God be the Glory.
