Giving is a way of obeying God

In Deuteronomy 28: 1 to 6 we read about blessings for obeying God. The Lord has promised us good things for fully obeying Him and for following His commands. So when we obey God, we are not doing Him a favour, we are not doing the man of God a favour but we are simply accessing our own blessings that God promised us.

Giving is a way of obeying God. When you give, you show obedience to God, so you qualify to claim the promises of God. God also speaks trough His servants the prophets, so when you take an instruction from a prophet and carry it out diligently, you are obeying God, and the promises of God that are set out in this scripture will surely come to you.

When Moses spoke to Israel in verse 2, and said “God will make you the most famous & important nation on earth” (CEV) he was not only referring to the natural Israel, but the spiritual Israel, that is those who believe in Jesus as Son of the Living God. So the promise is now for us and our children, if we obey God. God has promised to bless us in many ways.

Many of us are striving to be successful in our careers and in our business, but the Lord has given us a simple but yet crucial recipe for success, in verse 3 He says, He is the One who will make us successful, but the condition is we have to obey Him fully. The Lord has promised us multiplication, and plenty of bread to eat. We just need to obey in order to access it.

Give to show your obedience to God, then you will see the Goodness of God. God has already done His part. It’s time for you to do your part.
