Face your Goliath

The Bible tells us a bout David, the last born son of Jesse, who was bold enough to face Goliath, the Philistine champion. In 1 Samuel 17: 41 to 49 we read about Goliath, who looked at David, and saw that he was young and handsome, and he despised him. Goliath tried to intimidate David by his height and his weapons and his own strength.

It’s like most of us, we face Goliath every day, in the form of various difficult situations. Your Goliath can be those people that gossip about you, it may be your debt or it may be a sickness you have been struggling with. Your Goliath might be looking strong and tall, known to destroy many people and all the men of war are afraid of him, but I’m here to tell you that do not let your heart fail because of that Philistine.

You may be looking at your situation wondering how you will get out of it, thinking that it will destroy you, but you must face that situation in the Name of the Lord Almighty. Do not let that situation defy the armies of the living God, do not allow that situation to come to you with its own weapons, and spears and javelin, but face that situation in the Name of the Lord Almighty.

When Goliath insulted David and cursed David by his Philistine god’s David only responded and said “I will give your head for my promotion”. The Bible tells us that David was indeed promoted after he killed Goliath, this is why there was that song saying “ Saul killed thousands and David killed 10 thousands”. There is no way that you will get to your promotion without killing your Goliath.

It does not matter how big he is, it does not matter how many battles he has won, it doesn’t matter how many people he has killed, but you go and face your Goliath in the Name of the Lord Almighty. Your Goliath is not there to kill you, but to bring forth your promotion. Your Goliath might be those voices speaking against you, but you will silence them in the Name of the Lord Almighty.

All you have to do is call upon the Name of the Lord Almighty, He will not fail you and He will see you trough. There is no Goliath that is bigger than the Lord Almighty, there is no foreign “ god ” that is bigger than the Lord Almighty. You face your Goliath and strike him with the Name of the Lord. Do not fight physically, you must wage war in the spirit, and trust in the Name of the Lord. That way, you will conquer your Goliath.

The Lord Almighty will surely give you victory. To Him be all Honor and Glory.
