Prayer for victory

Tonight we are going to pray a prayer of victory. Victory does not start when you see the testimony, but it starts when the heart believes and is content. To show victory we are going to celebrate and dance in the presence of God. The noise of celebration from a child of God, bursts the ears of the enemy. So it is important that we should pray a prayer of victory.

In Judges 7: 2 to 5 we see God preparing Gideon to conquer the Mediantes. God did not want Gideon to take with him the multitudes, but He wanted a few men so that it could be clear that the hand of the Lord delivered Median into the hands of Gideon. From the very beginning of Gideon’s call, God has always been clear that He chose him, not because of his capability, but because of the anointing which is on his life.

Some of us today are in trouble because of multitudes. When we wanted to pray, we got people to pray with us and then when victory came, they said, it’s their prayers that brought us victory. They forget that the Lord is the one that brings victory. This is why God said to Gideon, you have too many men. Some must go back.

The prayer of victory is not for cowards, but it for people who will still pray and hold on to the confession of faith even in pain. Victory is for people who will say I’m blessed even if there is nothing in their bank accounts. When you pray a prayer of victory with faith in your heart, you will be sanctified and brought to a higher spiritual level.

Jesus also prayed a prayer of victory when He was going to the cross. Although He was in pain, He held on to the confession of faith and finished the works of Calvary. Tonight God is going to bless someone who is saying in their hearts, I will not complain, but I will pray until I taste my victory. You need to praise God in every situation, for the victory of God accompanies all believers.

Even when you are sick, you still have a reason to praise God, many died of that same sickness, many could not bear that sickness, but here you are, still alive. When you praise God in difficult times, your enemy will make a uturn when they see you. They will fear you because God is on your side and He is fighting for you.

In verse 14 of the same Judges 7, we read about the sword of Gideon. Tonight, God wants to give the sword of Gideon that will bring judgement upon all your enemies to you, all you need to do is pray a prayer of victory. When Gideon heard that the Mediantes were already afraid of him, he rose up and took his position. He never fought the Mediante’s, he just stood on the Word of God.

You are here and they are fighting you at work, keep quiet, do not fight them back, but raise the sword of Gideon, it will bring destruction to all your enemies. The sword of Gideon will bring you justice. When people fight you, you don’t fight them back physically, but you fight spiritually. If you can fight physically, you will be defeated. When you fight spiritually, even the demons that fight you from afar will fall.

When you fight spiritually, you pray about all issues that trouble you. When you pray about the issues that trouble you, you cause your enemy to see judgement when they look at you. Your enemy will regret ever fighting you when they see you. And you will taste victory. God will honour your prayer, because He honours the prayer of a righteous man.

This is how we are going to pray:

  1. Lord give me the sword of Gideon, so that in all battles of my life, I can see victory.

  2. Restore me oh Lord to the original authority and prosperity that you have created for me.

  3. Father electrify me with your power, so that no demon can touch me.
