God wants to multiply you.

In 2 Kings 4: 42 to 44 we read about a man who brought 20 loaves of bread to the Man of God, Elisha. The Bible tells us that the bread was baked from the 1st ripe grain. When the Man of God received this bread, he ordered his servants to give it to a 100 people. His servants could not understand how a 100 men could be fed with just 20 loaves, but the Man of God said "the Lord says they will eat and have some left over."

We all have something to give. It might be small in your own eyes, but this is what the Lord God of Elisha says, "after you have given, you will pay your bills and also have some left over". But the key is in giving. God calls you to give because He is a multiplier, He knows that you need more, and He will surely multiply what you give.

God knows that you need a promotion, He knows about your debts, but He says give, that little that you have, so that He can multiply. Elisha could have held back the loaves of bread and said they are not enough, but he obeyed the Word of God, and gave them, few as they were, and there was a supernatural multiplication.

There is no way for us to experience the multiplication of God other than through giving. If you hold back the little that you have, it will never be enough, but the moment you give, although you have little, you demonstrate faith in the Lord, and for that God will multiply you.

Today as you give, hold on this Word of God in your heart. He says you will have some left over after you have done all that you need to do. Give knowing that the Lord will perform His Word of multiplication in your life.

To God be the Glory.
