Go the extra mile

In 2 Kings 4:8 to 17, we read about the Shunamite woman, who saw Elisha passing by her house, and urged him to stay for a meal. This woman even persuaded her husband that they must build a room for Elisha on the top of their house so that he can rest. The reason that she went thru all that trouble was because she perceived Elisha to be a Man of God.

From the reading of this scripture we can understand that the woman did not lack a thing. She had everything she needed. That is why when Elisha asked her what can be done for her, she replied, "I have a home among my own people". So this woman went the extra mile for Elisha not because she wanted a prophecy, not because she wanted prayer or anything from the man of God, but simply because she realised that he was a prophet of God.

The woman realised that whatever she did for the man of God, she was doing for God. She also didn't have a room on the rooftop, but she build one specifically for the man of God, she did not say let me give him my old room and I move into the new room. But she prepared the best for the man of God.

This is why Elisha could not just leave her without doing anything for her. This is why even after the woman didn't ask for a thing, Elisha persisted to ask Gehazi, his assistant that "what can be done for this woman." The Shunamite woman had no son, she had never imagined that she could have a son again since she was old. But because she went the extra mile for the man of God, she became pregnant the next year.

I'm here to tell you that you can also have your miracle by this time next year. What is it that you had already given up on receiving? what is it that you thought you are no longer qualified to do anymore? God is speaking to you today, He says by this time next year....

In order for the spoken Word of God to be manifested in your life, you need to go the extra mile for God. You need to give to God the best, and you need to give with all your heart. If you want a miracle as great as the Shunamite woman, give in the same manner that she gave.

The Man of God, Senior Prophet Rodney declared 2015 to be a year of testimony. In order for you to testify, you must be a giver. Do not delay your testimony by withholding your tithes and your offering, but give and you will see the manifestation of God's promise.

God has spoken, now you do your part...give and go the extra mile.
