Go straight to your attack

Today I want to teach you about the power of a prophecy. In 2 Kings 7:2 to 5 we read about a prophecy that Elisha gave about the famine that would be suddenly terminated in Samaria. When Elisha declared the prophecy, an officer on whose arm the king was leaning, did not believe, but more than that he ridiculed the prophecy, not knowing that he ridicules the Word of God.

But because of his unbelieve, Elisha told him that he will see the abundance that will terminate the famine, but he would not eat from it. So it is with most of us here, that we do not benefit from the spoken Word of God because we do not believe. How many of us received a word from God and to date still did not benefit from that word?

Now the Bible also tells us about 4 men with leprosy, who were at the entrance of the city gate. These men were covered with sores all over their bodies, they were in the worst condition of health. But they realised that if they remained where they are, at the city gate, they will die of the leprosy, and if they went into the city, the armies of the Arameans would also kill them. So either way they were going to die. But these men encouraged each other to rather face the attack of the Arameans. Sick as they were, painful as their bodies were, they were bold enough to say let us go into the city and face the Arameans army.

These men had not heard the prophecy of Elisha, they did not know that God was going to use them to end the famine in Samaria. But because they faced their attack head on, they benefited from the words of Elisha's prophecy. The Bible tells us that when these men with leprosy reached the camp of the Arameans, there was no one there, because the Lord had caused the army to hear sounds of chariots and and horses in a great army, so they fled, thinking that Israel is coming to finish them off.

When the men with leprosy entered the tents they found an abundance of food, silver, gold and everything else that they needed. So the men went back to report to the king so that the whole city can benefit from all that was found in the camps of the Arameans. And so it happened that the word of Elisha came to pass as the famine in Samaria came to an end. And it also happened that the officer who had not believed, was trampled on and died. So he saw the manifestation of the Word of prophecy but did not benefit from it.

I want to tell you today, that do not kill your miracle by not believing the word that God speaks through His servants. Do not even be intimidated by anything, but hold fast to the Word of God. Even when you see an attack that seems too big or that looks like it could terminate your prophecy, do not be afraid, be bold and face the attack.

Remember that what the Lord has spoke will surely come to pass. It doesn't matter what the enemy brings your way, you just go straight to the camp of the enemy, there you will find your break trough. The Lord will cause your enemy to see you as a troop of soldiers and your enemy will flee. The Lord will cause your enemy to see you as a great army of chariots. All you need is to trust God and face your attack.

To God be the Glory
