USHERING Ministry

 

The Usher Ministry is instrumental in creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for those they are blessed to interact with. Ushering is an opportunity to serve God by serving His people.  It is also a marvelous way to actively and faithfully participate in the functioning of LCMN.

 

The role of an Usher is frequently underestimated.  Ushers ensure that the services flow smoothly and orderly.  A visitor's first impression of a church is often influenced by the functioning of the Ushers.  That is why the Ushers here at LCMN strive to be a blessing to everyone by seeking ways to brighten their day.  They say a "good Usher" is usually a "people" person.”  However, we feel a "good Usher" is a person with a natural heart of joy and spirit of welcome. Think back to your first visit–was it possibly an Usher that navigated you and your family into feeling right at home?  A positive experience from an Usher, may have even led you to join our church.

 

Ushers should exhibit spiritual wisdom, a joyful attitude, knowledge of their surroundings, hospitality, and more than anything,  Ushers must possess a servants heart.  Loving to meet new people doesn't hurt either!
